Christmas Clothes Drive

In the month of December, 2021, Hadassah Hall partnered with the Red Cross Society of Nigeria (Asaba Chapter) to carry out a Christmas Clothes Drive Project to make Christmas a little brighter for children in the rural communities in Delta State. This project is important because most children in these areas suffer from flu, cold, fever and cough in the harmattan due to lack of warm clothes. Parents supported this event by giving new and gently used clothes and shoes…including T-shirts, pants, shirts, blouses, jackets, ties, shorts, swimsuits, sweaters, outerwear, shoes and boots, pajamas, handbags, formal wear, and even underwear. Over 800 clothing items and 15 cartons of Indomie were handed over to the Nigerian Red Cross on Wednesday, 15th December,  ’21.

Teaching our children the spirit of giving, showing them the importance of thinking of others, and modeling kindness are important ways to help children grow into productive and loving members of our world.

We are so grateful for the kindness, compassion and generosity of our parents. By choosing to give to charity projects like the Christmas Clothes Drive, they are truly contributing to a worthy solution to poverty. THANK YOU!
