Montessori Lacing Activity
Purpose —- Direct: To help the children learn how to lace and unlace. Indirect: Acquiring coordination of movement. Previous knowledge: the guide asks the child where he has seen a lace before to have him associate what he is about to do to what might be on his shoes.
Care of the Environment
Young children are naturally curious about the world around them and will protect the things that they love; and so we nurture that curiosity into kindness towards their environment. If they experience the outdoors as much as possible, and in all weathers too, they’ll want to look after it without very much encouragement at all.
