We are going to keep conducting such fun events to make lessons interesting for our little ones. We thank all parents for their consistent support and encouragement in this regard.

Pegs Activity

Whilst pegging might sound like a basic skill it has many important developmental benefits. This simple activity requires patience, concentration, dexterity and good eye-hand coordination, plus it strengthens fingers and develops the all-important pincer grip that is essential for writing…

Colour Week

With the objective of developing and reinforcing their visual perception of colours, our children celebrated Colour Week. They glowed in different hues and tints of colours and enjoyed a memorable learning experience by engaging in fun maths, language science and art activities in their lively, vibrant and high-spirited classroom.
We thank you ensuring the children came to school in the right colours. We all had fun.

Let’s Read

Reading time…a period of bonding between children and adults. There is a sense of intimacy and well-being that children feel when you read with them (or to them).
We are intentional about incorporating reading activities in the classroom because brain scans show that hearing stories strengthens the part of the brain associated with visual imagery, story comprehension, and word meaning…a huge part of literacy development.
If you don’t read to your child at home, make sure your child’s teachers are reading to them in school.

Fun Learning

Watching this video you can clearly see why we encourage small class sizes for individualised learning. A Montessori Guide has to do this for each of the children in her class…going at the pace of each child to ensure every child succeeds. And yes, learning maths (as well as other subjects) should be a fun and happy experience.
Well done Star A! (Star A is 2 years old).

Teachers’ Day

Our Head of School had the pleasure of meeting with every member of staff.
In her words…”I like to believe I’m in a community of leaders raising the next generation of leaders…and after today’s session with the teachers, I am grateful for the opportunity to plant and build individuals who LEAD UP to expectations and surpass goals efficiently.’
Cheers to the amazing women in Hadassah Hall.

To all our Teachers…like these scented candles, may your life be a sweet fragrance to the Almighty God…and humanity. Thank you for all you do.

Happy Teachers’ Day to You All!

Cooking Club

Cooking Club: Plantain Mosa
Plantain mosa is one of Nigerians popular small chops served at parties. It tastes like puff puff but with the additional flavour from plantain and the use of cornmal flour instead of plain flour. Plantain mosa recipe is very simple and easy to make and of course very delicious too. It would only take you roughly an hour and after that everyone around your table would be munching away. That is if they are lucky as there is every chance you eat it all before you finish frying it.

Care of Environment

Our flowers bloom because our children care!!!!
The practical life activity of plant watering teaches children to care, to love, and to have empathy for other living things.  Children also learn how to take care of the space around them.
For older children, it is a great opportunity to explain that every living thing needs water to stay alive…
