Small Classes Sizes at Hadassah Hall

Why do we have small class sizes at Hadassah Hall? Simple! Smaller class size encourages intentional teaching that is child-centered.

At Hadassah Hall, we know through research that children learn best when they receive the proper attention they need to succeed. As I’m sure you can imagine, a struggling child can excel if given the proper attention and care. It is no surprise then that smaller classroom sizes create better learning environments for children!

Some children learn by doing, some by seeing, and others by hearing…  whichever type of learning your children embrace, our strict policy for small class sizes allow for teachers to address the unique needs and learning style of each of their individual learners. Rather than teaching one big class, our teachers are able to teach a small community comprised of multiple individual learners. With our smaller class sizes, our teachers can get to know each child as an individual, working with them to enhance their strengths and improve their weaknesses. Plus, the children get to know each other better.
Both children who are struggling and children who are excelling need individual attention. Smaller classrooms open up the potential to focus one-to-one with students and with parents in order to maximize the child’s full potential. Our teachers get to know the students better and can tailor their approach and attention accordingly. Our early education programs have been evaluated and found to be effective, and that’s why we choose to limit class sizes to fewer than 10 with teacher to child ratios of 2 to 10 or lower
When students in smaller classrooms are outperforming their peers in larger classrooms academically, the choice for parents becomes clear and that’s the Hadassah Hall advantage.

Again, please note that low child-to-staff ratios allow teachers to know and notice each child in the classroom and share more stimulating, responsive, warm, and supportive interactions with early learners.
